About

I’ve spent more than two decades making things and figuring out what makes creative work connect with people.

I started as a filmmaker. Over time, that grew into something bigger: developing ideas, shaping stories, building creative systems, leading productions, working with senior leaders, and helping other creatives do strong work. What hasn’t changed is that I still love the actual process of making something good.

For nearly two decades at Reformed Theological Seminary, I’ve helped build and expand an institution-wide media operation serving a multi-campus organization. Along the way, I’ve developed original content series, shaped creative work for fundraising and recruitment, helped transform online education from primarily audio into an ongoing video-production model, built production systems and studios, and worked with leaders across the institution to turn complicated ideas into stories people can understand and care about.

Outside that work, I’ve spent years partnering independently with organizations and clients on films, campaigns, digital content, websites, and visual storytelling. That combination has taught me how to adapt strong creative thinking to different organizations, audiences, and constraints without losing sight of the story.

I believe good creative leadership requires both vision and proximity to the work. I like finding the idea, figuring out how to make it happen, bringing the right people into the process, and staying close enough to the execution to know whether it’s actually working.

At the end of the day, I still love the same thing I did when I started: finding the human thing inside an idea and figuring out how to make someone feel it.
